KATHMANDU: MIT Entrepreneurship Club, in collaboration with Opportunities Forever, is set to organise Nepal’s Next Founders – a youth-led initiative designed to spotlight the entrepreneurial spirit within Nepal’s student community.

The one-day event, scheduled for June 6, 2025 in Bagbazar, Kathmandu, will bring together aspiring student founders, emerging youth leaders and seasoned industry experts to exchange stories, experiences and insights.

The event will feature a series of interactive sessions. A student panel, themed “Inspiring the next: Student founders on challenges, growth & grit”, will see rising student entrepreneurs – including Kushalta Thapa, Santosh Magar, Samriddhi Singh Bhandari and Umesh Prasad Pandey – reflect on their entrepreneurial journeys, with Mohit KC, Club Head of the MIT Entrepreneurship Club, serving as moderator.

An inspiring storytelling session will follow, in which a prominent entrepreneur or influencer is set to share their personal journey. This will be complemented by an expert roundtable discussion, “Empower, innovate, impact: Building brands and uplifting communities”, featuring industry leaders such as Kshitiz Chandra Ojha, Simon Dahal, Sudip Bhai Subedi and Suruchi Khadka, and moderated by entrepreneur Niraj Kafle.

The day will culminate in a policy dialogue on how politics can support youth innovation and start-up ecosystems, with Bipin Kumar Acharya, Joint General Secretary of Rastriya Swatantra Party, as the guest speaker.

The initiative aims to inspire students by showcasing the success stories of student and expert founders, foster dialogue on innovation, branding and sustainable entrepreneurship, and create a platform for policy conversations relevant to youth and start-ups. It is designed to empower young people to take charge of their ideas and make a community impact.

The event is free of charge and will offer participants a certificate of participation, along with the opportunity to interact with top-tier entrepreneurs and policymakers. Interested students can register by filling in the form available online.
