Just a day after the Air India crash in Ahmedabad, another Air India flight — this time en route from Phuket to Delhi was forced to make an emergency landing on Friday following a bomb threat, according to Reuters.

Flight AI 379, which departed Phuket International Airport at 9:30 AM local time, was scheduled to arrive in Delhi at 12:40 PM. However, the aircraft made a wide loop over the Andaman Sea before returning to Phuket, where it landed safely at 11:46 AM, as confirmed by flight tracking website Flightradar24.

An Air India official stated: “During the cruising phase of the flight, a security alert was received, after which the pilot decided to turn back to Phuket as a precaution.”

All passengers were safely deplaned, and their luggage offloaded. Security personnel are now conducting thorough checks of passengers, baggage, and cargo.

Authorities have yet to confirm the source or credibility of the threat. The airline and security agencies are continuing investigations.
