Birgunj Inland Revenue Office collects Rs 8.52bn in revenue in 11 months
BIRGUNJ, PARSA: Birgunj Inland Revenue Office has collected more than Rs 8.52 billion in the first 11 months of the current fiscal year 2024/25, exceeding its target of just over Rs 7.51 billion.
Chief Tax Officer Tikaraj Chaulagain said the office achieved 113.36% of its total target for the period.
Excise duty provided the largest contribution, amounting to Rs 4.5 billion. Income tax collections reached Rs 2.55 billion, while house rental tax yielded Rs 251 million.
Value added tax (VAT) collections stood at Rs 1.83 billion against a target of Rs 2.22 billion during the same period.
