KATHMANDU: MAW Vriddhi Commercial Vehicle has officially launched Foton’s flagship pickup, the Tunland G7, in Nepal.

The grand unveiling held at The Plaza, Pulchowk on Sunday was led by Vivek Sikaria, Managing Director of MAW Vriddhi; Eric Wang, General Manager, South Asia, Foton International; Li Zuocheng, PR director of Beiqi Foton and key account director of Foton International; Emily Ding, Senior Marketing Manager at Foton International Passenger Vehicle Business; Leo Zhao; and Tushar Gupta, CEO of MAW Vriddhi Commercial.

At the launch event, Sikaria said, “Despite the odds in Nepal, we decided to partner with Foton, and I’m proud to say our trust has been rewarded. In the past five to six years, we have sold more than 1,500 Foton vehicles in Nepal, including over 500 pickups. We have left no stone unturned when it comes to after-sales service and spare parts. Whether it’s preventive maintenance or accident repairs, the G7’s maintenance costs are 20 % lower than others on the market.”
Following the ceremony, the first Tunland G7s were handed over to customers who had booked in advance.
