Sher Malla becomes first NPL player to receive 'Xtreme silver ball' award

KATHMANDU: Sher Malla has become the first player in the third edition of Nepal Premier League (NPL) to receive the silver ball awarded by Xtreme Energy Drink under its ‘Xtreme Man of the Match’ initiative.

Lumbini Lions all-rounder Malla received the first silver ball award following his side’s opening match against Sudurpaschim Royals.

Xtreme Energy Drink announced that the silver ball will be awarded to the best-performing player during the tournament.

Players from seven of the league’s eight teams that have sponsorship partnerships with the company are eligible for the award. The company said that when a match features two Xtreme-sponsored teams, the best-performing player from each side will receive a silver ball.
