HoR approves proposals

KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives on Sunday approved the proposal seeking consideration of amendments made by the National Assembly to the 'Bill Designed to Amend Some Nepal Acts.'

Speaker Devraj Ghimire announced the approval of the proposal.

The proposal, presented by the Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ajay Kumar Chaurasia, was discussed by MPs Rajendra Bajgain, Rajendra Kumar K.C., Mahesh Kumar Bartuala, Ranju Kumari Jha, Ram Krishna Yadav, Purna Bahadur Gharti, Bimala Subedi and Prem Suwal.

Minister Chaurasia said he expected the provisions in the bill to help correct technical errors in the existing laws, as well as fulfil the state’s objectives of sustainable and balanced development, ensure good governance, protect the environment and maintain citizen-friendly governance.

The next meeting of the House of Representatives will be held at 1:00 pm today.
