KATHMANDU: Himalayan Everest Insurance Limited (HEI) has reported total premiums of Rs 4.03 billion and double-digit year-on-year growth for fiscal year 2024/25.

The non-life insurer settled claims worth Rs 1.65 billion over the same period. Intensifying competition in Nepal’s non-life sector has driven insurers to improve customer service and operational efficiency.

Chief Executive Officer Anju Shrestha said in a video message that the results have injected new energy, hope and confidence into the company, setting a new benchmark and driving HEI to aim higher.

She added that, over the coming year, HEI will prioritise customer satisfaction and relationship strengthening, alongside accelerating digitisation and technological modernisation.

HEI has confirmed it will give special priority to settling claims arising from natural disasters and other catastrophic events.

Despite financial headwinds, the insurer has maintained timely claim settlements and refined its claims-management processes.

Even amid rising disaster-related claims and operational costs, HEI has reported consistent growth in earnings per share and remains confident of delivering stable returns to shareholders.

HEI sustains its success through customer trust, operational excellence and financial robustness. Its forward-looking strategies and disciplined execution are expected to drive further growth in the years ahead.
