Pudasaini elected NRNA UK president

LONDON: Rajendra Pudasaini has been elected president of the UK chapter of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA).

According to the vote count that concluded last night, Pudasaini defeated Govinda Kharel and Manish Khatri to lead NRNA UK, securing 1,482 votes to Kharel’s 977 and Khatri’s 496.

Ujjwal Karki, Dr Raksha Thapa and Ram Prasad Kandel were elected vice presidents; Diwakar Pandey as general secretary; D N Kharal and Krishna Devkota as secretaries (open category); Bishnu Kharel and Chhabilal Aryal as members; and Rammaya Bista Thapa as president of the England State Council.

Following his victory, Pudasaini said his first step would be to unite all Nepalis living in the UK.
