KATHMANDU: The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) has been allowed to resume its projects in Nepal. The Ministry of Finance (MoF) said the government had written a letter on July 24 informing the MCC of the continuation of its projects.
These initiatives, agreed between the Nepalese government and the MCC, had been suspended following the US President’s executive order on January 20, 2025. However, the suspension was lifted on July 24, according to the MoF.
The expansion of transport and energy infrastructure, essential for development, comprises the major works under the MCC project in Nepal.
