KATHMANDU: Mahindra & Mahindra launched its Electric Origin SUVs, the BE 6 and XEV 9e, in Nepal at NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo on Wednesday. Prices start at Rs 5.7 million, and bookings opened at the launch event.
The SUVs are built on Mahindra’s INGLO electric vehicle architecture and powered by the MAIA artificial intelligence platform, combining retro-inspired design with cutting-edge technology. The BE 6 is available in three variants – Pack One Above, Pack Two and Pack Three Select – while the XEV 9e comes in Pack Two, Pack Three Select and Pack Three. Customers can secure any variant immediately through the Agni Group, Mahindra’s official Nepal distributor.
‘With the launch of the BE 6 and XEV 9e in Nepal, we are bringing a bold new electric mobility experience to a market that is rapidly evolving and embracing cleaner technologies,’ said Sachin Arolkar, Head of International Operations, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra. ‘These SUVs represent the best of cutting-edge innovation, combining performance, intelligence and design into a package that will resonate strongly with Nepali consumers.’

Cabinet Shrestha, Chairman of the Agni Group, said, ‘The BE 6 and XEV 9e are future-ready products that reflect the aspirations of a modern, emerging Nepal. With their commanding presence, intelligent features and Heartcore design, we believe these SUVs will set new benchmarks in the Nepali EV market.’
Both models offer a choice of 59 kWh or 79 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery packs, delivering certified ranges of 557 km for the BE 6 and 656 km for the XEV 9e (MIDC P1+P2 cycle). An eight-year or 200,000 km warranty applies to both battery options, while drivetrain and chassis components benefit from extended coverage. Engineering highlights include brake-by-wire technology, intelligent semi-active dampers and high-power variable-ratio steering that achieves a tight 10-metre turning circle.
Performance peaks at 199 kW in the XEV 9e Pack Three variant, with most other trims offering 99 kW for responsive acceleration in urban and highway driving. The XEV 9e features a triple-screen Cinemascope display spanning 110 cm, while the BE 6 boasts a race-ready digital cockpit. Both cabins integrate augmented-reality VisionX heads-up displays, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sonic studio and the LiveYourMood ambient-light and climate-control function.
Safety and driver assistance are provided via ADAS Level 2+ on the XEV 9e and ADAS Level 2 on the BE 6, complemented by 360-degree cameras and the EyeDentity driver-monitoring system. Connectivity comes courtesy of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chipset, 24 GB of RAM, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and inbuilt 5G support.
The launch of these Electric Origin SUVs underlines Mahindra’s strategy to build a lifestyle brand that ‘resonates deeply with those who seek experiences that align with their aspirations and unlimit their potential.’ With showroom bookings now open at Agni Group outlets, Nepal’s EV market stands poised for rapid growth in the coming months.
