KATHMANDU: Broadway Infosys, a Nepali company providing professional information technology (IT) training, has won the prestigious Digital Talent Development award from the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA). The award was presented on Tuesday at a special ceremony held as part of the WITSA Global AI Summit 2025 in Taipei, Taiwan.
According to WITSA, the organiser, the award recognises Broadway Infosys’s contribution to Nepal’s education and technology sectors through its professional IT training programmes and its significant role in producing skilled human resources. It also praised the important role the company has played in the country’s digital transformation.
At the ceremony, Broadway Infosys Co-founder and Managing Director Hari Krishna Adhikari and Business Development Director Uttam Adhikari accepted the award. The company said the award is a testament to its dedication and proof of the positive impact it has had on Nepal’s overall IT landscape.

WITSA is an alliance of technology industry associations from 80 countries and economies. The Federation of Computer Associations Nepal (CAN Federation) is a member from Nepal. The Global AI Summit, organised by WITSA, brought together leaders from industry, government, academia and research institutions worldwide.
This year’s summit, under the theme ‘AI Shaping the Digital World’, emphasised the use and development of artificial intelligence. Hundreds of companies from around the globe submitted nominations for awards across 13 categories, including Digital Talent Development.
Before the award ceremony, a delegation from CAN Federation met Dr Yen-Nun Huang, Taiwanese Minister of Digital Affairs, to brief him on Nepal’s digital journey and the federation’s role in policymaking alongside the Government of Nepal and its subordinate bodies. CAN Federation General Secretary Chandra Bilash Bhurtel provided a detailed overview of suggestions offered during the recent formulation of Nepal’s AI policy. The meeting was also attended by CAN Federation Immediate Past President and WITSA Treasurer Ranjeet Kumar Poddar, Manager Udeep Baral, and Hariwan Nepal Director Jitendra Poddar.
