NRB announces fresh banknote exchange for Bada Dashain from Sep 14 to 26

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the central bank, has announced arrangements for the public and organisations to exchange fresh banknotes ahead of this year’s biggest festival, Bada Dashain. The service will be available from September 14 to 26.

According to a notice, exchanges can be made at NRB’s Currency Management Department in Thapathali, its provincial offices in Biratnagar, Janakpur, Birgunj, Pokhara, Siddharthanagar, Nepalgunj, and Dhangadhi, as well as at branch offices of ‘A’-, ‘B’-, and ‘C’-class licensed banks and financial institutions.

NRB has urged all concerned to visit the designated counters within the announced period to obtain fresh notes for festival use.
