KATHMANDU: Domestic and international tourists are permitted to transfer to and from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) with valid air tickets. Shuttle bus services run by Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) are available from TIA on three designated routes.

Travellers and air passengers are advised to contact the nearest Nepali Army (NA) checkpoint for support if required.

The NA has today issued a prohibitory order from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm and a curfew from 7:00 pm to 5:00 am on Saturday across the Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts).

Movement for essential work is allowed from 6:00 am to 11:00 am and again from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm today.

Vehicle movement is restricted to essential services, including ambulances, fire brigades, health and security personnel, the media, food, fuel and water.

Officials of government and public offices, the Human Rights Office, banks and financial agencies may commute to and from work upon presentation of original office identity cards.

Outside Kathmandu, district security committees will issue updates on the local security situation as appropriate.
