KATHMANDU: Ncell has said that acts of vandalism last week severely damaged its head office, Ncell ICON, and its regional offices in Mahendranagar, Dhangadhi and Pokhara, posing serious risks to employee safety and service continuity.

Despite the disruptions, the operator provided free voice calls, SMS and internet services for three days to ensure uninterrupted communication during the crisis.

In a statement titled “We Will Rebuild. We Will Rise. Ncell Is Here for Nepal,” the company said the response reflected its 20-year commitment to serving the Nepali community and reaffirmed its role in Nepal’s ICT transformation, highlighting its contributions to job creation, economic growth and the vision of building Digital Nepal.

As Nepal embarked on a new chapter under an interim government, Ncell extended congratulations to former Chief Justice Sushila Karki on her appointment as Prime Minister, welcomed the youth-led movement behind the change and expressed hope for greater unity, peace and prosperity.

The company also offered condolences to those who lost their lives during last week’s unrest, wished a swift recovery to the injured and affirmed that it stood shoulder to shoulder with its employees, customers and communities.
