NRB keeps RTGS operational during Ghatasthapana holiday
KATHMANDU: Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system is being kept operational for electronic payment transactions on the occasion of Ghatasthapana despite the public holiday, Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) said.
The central bank said the RTGS system will also be operational on Monday. "Even though Monday is a public holiday for Ghatasthapana, the RTGS system will be operational from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm," NRB stated in a notice.
RTGS is an electronic payment system used for high‑value payments. The system is primarily used for large‑value and urgent payment transactions.
