
MALEKHU, DHADING: The blocked Prithvi Highway has been reopened to two-way traffic.
The highway had been blocked by a dry landslide at Jawangkhola in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-10 since 10:00 pm on Monday. According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Bheshraj Rijal at District Police Office, Dhading, the landslide was cleared and the highway reopened.
According to police, although the landslide debris has been cleared for now, the risk has not been eliminated. SP Rijal said that debris cleared by the dozer continues to pile up.
Stopped vehicles have resumed their journeys, and because of the heavy traffic in the area, there are traffic jams.
