BAGMATI: Two roads connecting Hetauda and Kathmandu have reopened from this morning, according to Makawanpur District Police Office (DPO).

The Hetauda–Kulekhani–Phakhel–Pharping road and the Hetauda–Palung–Naubise road had earlier been disrupted by landslides.

However, another route connecting Hetauda and Kathmandu — Bhimphedi–Kulekhani–Sisneri road — and the Kanti Highway, which links Hetauda and Lalitpur Metropolises, are yet to be restored for traffic operation, according to Police Inspector Thakur Sapkota at Makawanpur DPO.

Dodhare River has swept away parts of the Bhimphedi–Kulekhani–Sisneri road. It has also been struck by a landslide near the Dakshinkali temple. Efforts are underway to reopen the roadway, said police.

Similarly, a landslide has blocked the Kanti Highway. Efforts are underway to clear the debris and repair the damaged segments, police informed.
