Xiaomi launches Leica‑powered 15T smartphone in Nepal
KATHMANDU: Xiaomi has launched the Leica‑powered 15T smartphone in Nepal, introducing a flagship device that combines professional‑grade photography with high‑end performance and advanced AI capabilities.

The 15T showcases a triple‑camera system co‑engineered with Leica, offering four focal lengths via a 50MP Leica main camera (23mm), a 50MP Leica telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom (46mm), and a 12MP Leica ultra‑wide camera (15mm). The Leica Summilux optical lens with an ultra‑large aperture is designed to reproduce vibrant colours and capture fine detail even in low light, while a 32MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. The handset measures 7.5mm thin, weighs 194 grams and features a matte finish with softly rounded contours for fatigue‑free handling.
Powering the Xiaomi 15T is the MediaTek Dimensity 8400‑Ultra chipset built on a 4nm process, paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage, running HyperOS 2 with HyperOS 3 coming soon based on Android 15. The smartphone sports a 6.83‑inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals and responsive performance.
The device is equipped with a 5,500 mAh typical battery and 67W HyperCharge with charger included, and is rated IP68 for water and dust resistance with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for scratch protection. Connectivity features include dual‑SIM support, Wi‑Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6.0, multifunctional NFC, 5G support and multi‑band positioning with GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou, QZSS and NavIC.
The Xiaomi 15T is now available in Nepal at Rs 64,999 for the 12GB+512GB model and is offered in Black, Grey and Rose Gold through authorised Xiaomi stores across the country.
