Gold price goes up by Rs 2,700 to Rs 239,000 per tola
KATHMANDU: Price of gold rose by Rs 2,700 to Rs 239,000 per tola on Friday, according to Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA).
Gold was traded at Rs 236,300 per tola on Thursday. The increase follows a short spell of declines earlier in the week: gold stood at Rs 241,900 per tola on Sunday, falling by Rs 11,600 that day, slipping a further Rs 2,000 on Monday and dropping Rs 2,900 on Tuesday, leaving the price at Rs 237,000 on Wednesday.
Silver is traded at Rs 3,060 per tola today, up Rs 80 from Rs 2,980 on Thursday.
On international markets, the CME Group Gold Futures December 2025 contract was trading at $4,021.30 per ounce at the time of reporting.
