KATHMANDU: Xiaomi’s 15T smartphone, launched earlier, is being promoted in Nepal for its Leica‑tuned cameras and premium specifications.

The 15T’s headline feature is a Leica‑tuned camera system. The setup includes a 50MP main camera using an OmniVision Light Fusion 800 sensor with OIS and an f/1.7 lens, a 50MP 2x telephoto intended for portraits and close‑ups, a 12MP ultra‑wide and a 32MP front camera. Leica colour profiles and bokeh effects are offered as selectable looks, and Xiaomi says the system delivers sharp, colourful photos for everyday use without flagship pricing.

Under the bonnet, the phone pairs 12GB LPDDR5X RAM with 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. Xiaomi highlights the combination for smooth multitasking, faster app installs and responsive performance for gaming, photography and routine tasks. The storage is non‑expandable.

The device has a 6.83‑inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,200 nits peak brightness. HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support are included, and the screen uses PWM dimming, which may concern users sensitive to flicker at low brightness.

Design features include a plastic frame that reduces weight to 194g, IP68 water and dust resistance and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i on the display. The phone is offered in Black, Grey and Rose Gold with a metallic finish.

Battery capacity is 5,500mAh and Xiaomi quotes full‑day endurance under moderate to heavy use, with the possibility of two days for conservative users. Wired 67W charging reaches 100% in about 50 minutes with the included adapter; wireless charging is not supported.

Connectivity and extras cover dual‑SIM Nano support, Wi‑Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, USB‑C and compatibility with GPS, Glonass, Galileo, Beidou, QZSS and NavIC. Security is handled via an optical in‑display fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock. The phone also carries a full sensor suite including accelerometer, ambient light sensor, colour temperature sensor, e‑compass, flicker sensor, gyroscope, IR blaster and proximity sensor.

The 12GB/512GB variant is priced at Rs 64,999 and is available through Xiaomi’s authorised retail network in Nepal. Xiaomi is offering flexible EMI plans with a 40% down payment and instalments of up to nine months.

Xiaomi says the 15T combines Leica‑branded photography, strong display performance and long battery life to deliver premium features at a competitive price for everyday users.
