Sagar Distillery launches 180ml pack of The Governor Smokewood Cask Whisky

KATHMANDU: Sagar Distillery has launched a 180ml pack of The Governor Smokewood Cask Whisky, expanding its premium blended whisky portfolio after a successful debut in a 750ml bottle.

The smaller format is intended to offer consumers a more accessible way to experience the brand’s flavour and craftsmanship, the company said, and is aimed at evolving drinking occasions.

The Governor is crafted from Highland and Speyside Scotch malts, aged up to 10 years, reflecting the brand’s philosophy of 'Two legendary malts, one exceptional blend.' The Highland malt adds depth and structure, while the Speyside malt lends smoothness and balance. Finished in Smokewood casks, the whisky is described as delivering notes of vanilla, oak and caramel with a soft smoky finish.

Commenting on the launch, Saurav Karanjeet, chief executive officer of Sagar Distillery, said the 180ml pack enhances accessibility while preserving the brand’s quality and character.

The Governor Smokewood Cask Whisky (180ml) will be available nationwide at a maximum retail price of Rs 745.

Sagar Distillery (SAGAR) is a Nepali spirits manufacturer with a modern blending and bottling facility and a growing portfolio that includes Nepse Bulls Rare Malt Whisky, Royal Blue, Maxx, Grey Wolf Vodka and Berries & Blues Gin, the company said.
