KATHMANDU: Gold prices in Nepal recorded a slight decline in the domestic market, falling by Rs. 400 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA).
The price of fine gold currently stands at Rs. 267,700 per tola, down from Rs. 268,100 per tola in the previous trading session. The dip reflects a modest correction following a sharp rise in recent weeks.
Gold prices had reached an all-time high of Rs. 270,600 per tola on December 28, 2025, driven by strong demand and favourable international market trends. The latest adjustment suggests a period of stabilisation after the record peak.
Meanwhile, silver prices moved in the opposite direction, posting a gain of Rs. 55 per tola. Silver is now being traded at Rs. 4,935 per tola, up from Rs. 4,880 per tola a day earlier.
