CHITWAN: The 8th Nepal Agritech International Expo, held at the Chitwan Expo Centre, Bharatpur, concluded on Sunday after drawing more than 31,000 visitors over three days.
The expo ran from January 16 to 18 and was jointly organised by Media Space Solutions and Futurex Trade Fairs and Events.
“Even though the expo was short, we received significant interest from visitors. They learned about technology and products and gained information regarding their usage,” Srijal Bhattarai, managing director of Media Space Solutions, said, adding that all exhibitors were also happy.
Madan Ghimire, president of the Chitwan Association of Industries, said attendance exceeded expectations. “In previous expos and fairs, all types of visitors used to come,” Ghimire said, “but this time we found that visitors from the targeted groups attended.” He added that such programmes organised by the Chitwan Association of Industries are becoming meaningful and that visitors gain maximum benefit. He said the expo was successful due to the enthusiastic participation of farmers, entrepreneurs, businesspeople, researchers and visitors from relevant sectors.
