KATHMANDU: Nepal's leading EdTech company, Digischool, has expanded its operations to Australia, marking the firm's first international footprint.
Through Digischool Australia, IT and coding education will be provided to school students via virtual platforms, the company said. "In the coming days, global IT certification programmes will be launched, which will help students in Australia acquire internationally recognised skills and assist them in securing employment opportunities within the IT sector," Shrestha added.
Chairman of Digischool, Bigyan Shrestha, said preparations are now underway to take the company to other countries, including the US. He said the company aims to make students proficient in coding, artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity and data science from the school level.
At the launch ceremony in Australia, Rajendra Malla, immediate past president of Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC), emphasised the importance of IT education in the digital age. He said that by producing skilled human resources through IT education, a significant contribution can be made to the country's economy through software exports.
Digischool CEO Raju Baniya expressed his commitment to further expanding IT education and services during the event.
The launch was attended by more than 10 principals and chairpersons from leading schools in Nepal, demonstrating strong support for Digischool's educational vision.
With the international expansion, Digischool said its mission is to empower children worldwide through education focused on future-oriented technologies.
