KATHMANDU: TCL has launched its S5K QLED Google TV series in Nepal, the company announced in Kathmandu. The new range is available in 32‑inch and 43‑inch models and combines QLED visual technology with an HVA panel, Dolby Audio sound and the Google TV platform.
The series is aimed at younger viewers, families who consume digital content and gamers seeking a smooth experience. TCL says the combination of Quantum Dot technology and an HVA panel delivers natural colours, three times more contrast and a viewing angle of more than 178 degrees. HDR10 and HLG support are included to enhance picture realism.
Audio is handled by a 2.0‑channel speaker system with Dolby Audio, while the Google TV interface offers voice control via Google Assistant, access to thousands of apps and a dedicated Game Mode. The sets feature a metallic, bezel‑less design and support Wi‑Fi 4 (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, two HDMI ports and USB 2.0.
TCL said the TVs are powered by a CA55x4 1.1 GHz processor with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage to ensure smooth multitasking.
CG Electronics is the authorised distributor for TCL in Nepal and will handle nationwide distribution through its network, the company added.
