KATHMANDU: Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) has welcomed the newly elected president and executive committee members of the Federation of Woman Entrepreneurs' Associations of Nepal (FWEAN). It has called for closer collaboration to boost economic development and women’s entrepreneurship.
Speaking at the event, CNI president Birendra Raj Pandey said there is a need for deep collaboration to move forward on overall economic development alongside the growth of women’s entrepreneurship. He emphasised the importance of increasing the consumption of domestic products and noted that CNI is conducting the Make in Nepal Swadeshi campaign. He expressed confidence that there will be profound cooperation between CNI and FWEAN.
Meanwhile, the newly elected president of FWEAN, Darshana Shrestha, spoke about the necessity of collaboration in the field of women’s entrepreneurship. She said FWEAN should move forward by partnering with CNI in various sectors.
Furthermore, discussions on areas of cooperation and related matters were held during the event, organisers said.
The programme was attended by CNI Vice President Amit More, CNI Director General Dr Ghanashyam Ojha and other representatives.
