KATHMANDU: My Mart has launched an online shopping service that delivers daily consumables to consumers the same day through the new mobile app 'My Mart – Delivered in Minutes'.
The service operates on a Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) model, the company said, adding rapid delivery to its existing Business-to-Business (B2B) operations.
My Mart said the service was introduced after successful testing of market demand and internal preparations, and that its mobile app, order management, stock control and delivery systems are fully ready.
The service is currently available in various areas of the Kathmandu Valley, with plans to expand to other cities in the coming days.
My Mart said it will prioritise local products and expand collaboration with domestic producers to provide fair prices and a guaranteed market, aiming to promote Nepali entrepreneurship and self-employment.
The company said the new model aims to create jobs, digitise local businesses and offer fast, easy and reliable service to consumers. The My Mart app is available on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
My Mart Industries, part of the IME Group, has been trading daily consumable goods in the Kathmandu Valley since 2073 BS and has collaborated directly with more than 3,000 grocery shops to date.
