Saurabh Jyoti, the Chairperson of Padma Jyoti Group, and Sanjay Coutinho, Organised Trade General Manager of Rich, signed the MoU at a special event organised in Padma Jyoti Bhawan on Wednesday.

Speaking at the event after the signing ceremony, Jyoti highlighted, “This is one of the biggest family-owned businesses in the world. Around six billion dollars , and has market leadership with varieties of products across South East Asia.”

“The reason we invested in this is because in the future, two sectors will have immense potential in terms of business. The first being AI or IT, which we all have been witnessing, and many companies have been emerging in this sector already. The other sector is food because regardless of everything, food will always be primary,” said Jyoti.

“We already see huge potential in penetrating the Nepali market, and with partners like Richh’s and of course, through Sun International Incorporated Pvt. Ltd. (SIIPL), we will be market leaders in this segment. We’re going to be the market leader as Rich’s are already putting a lot of their work into R&Ds and innovation,” he added.

The initiative aims to bring Rich’s global technical expertise and product application know-how closer to chefs, bakers, and foodservice operators across Nepal, enabling them to adopt global culinary trends, improve consistency, and elevate menu innovation.

Similarly, expressing his happiness for the strategic partnership with Padma Jyoti Group, Coutinho shared, “The new partnership will help penetrate into the Nepali market with not only products but the entire food and beverage industry.”
Both companies will focus on enhancing customer experience through stronger chef engagement, hands-on technical training, and structured knowledge sharing. Padma Jyoti Group will support this initiative through its robust infrastructure, established distribution network, and deep understanding of the Nepali market. }

Founded in 1945, Rich’s is a global, family-owned food company with over 80 years of heritage worldwide and more than 30 years of presence in India.
