KATHMANDU: CG, one of Nepal’s leading consumer electronics brands, has launched a nationwide Free AC Service Camp and an accompanying exchange-and-discount scheme for air conditioners ahead of the summer season.
The campaign, titled Garmiko Peak, Tapaiko AC Chalos Thik (Summer's Peak, Let Your AC Run Right), began on March 8 and is being offered for a limited period at major CG outlets across Nepal. Under the initiative, customers can bring air conditioners of any brand for free servicing.
Alongside complimentary servicing, CG is offering a range of incentives for repairs and new purchases. Spare parts required for repairs will be available at a discount of up to 50%. Customers trading in old air conditioners of any brand for a new CG Meridia air conditioner will receive up to 50% additional valuation on their old units, plus a direct cash discount of up to 20% on new CG air conditioner purchases.
New air conditioner buyers or customers exchanging old units will also receive free installation — a service CG values at Rs 4,000 — and two service coupons worth Rs 3,000 in total, valid for six months. CG Meridia air conditioners feature a Digital Inverter Compressor, IoT connectivity and a Healthy Filter, and the company provides a 10-year warranty on the compressor.
To ease payments, CG has arranged a 0% Easy EMI option for household appliances, available on submission of a citizenship certificate. The company said the offers are intended to help households prepare their cooling systems before peak summer demand.
CG Electronics, which has operated in Nepal for more than 40 years, said it supports customers through a network of 21 showrooms and 40 service centres nationwide and also sells products online via its official website.
