KATHMANDU: Information about those injured during the Gen Z movement on September 8 and 9 has been made public. A total of 2,638 people received treatment for injuries at 99 hospitals nationwide.
Dr Prakash Budhathoki, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, said the figures were compiled from the names gathered at hospitals that treated the injured. "We collected information about those injured from all hospitals that offered care during the event," he said.
The release of the comprehensive details was postponed because of late submissions from some hospitals. "Currently, all information regarding the injured has been forwarded to the Ministry of Home Affairs," Dr Budhathoki added.
According to the ministry’s records, information regarding them was sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs on October 17 (2,522 individuals), on January 18 (77), and on March 13 (a further 39).
