BIRATNAGAR: Chamber of Industries Morang (CIM) is set to organise 'Home Build Exhibition 2026' in Biratnagar from March 26 to 30 in Biratnagar, Morang. The event is intended to develop the construction sector ecosystem and promote business-to-business and business-to-consumer networking.

The exhibition, the first of its kind in Biratnagar, will showcase Nepali industrial products and services for the construction sector, from raw materials for house construction to interior decoration items. In a press statement, CIM said the event aims to bring manufacturers, service providers, designers, policy-makers and consumers involved in the construction value chain under one roof to showcase innovation, build partnerships and expand market networks.

CIM said the expo responds to the wide reach of the house construction sector, which affects daily wage labourers, skilled technicians, consultants, material manufacturers and industries such as sanitary, furniture, fixtures and tiles. The exhibition is intended to revitalise contracted market conditions and raise public awareness on safe building practices, material selection, roof leakage, termite damage and renovation of old structures.

Under the slogan 'Safe Home, Smart Life', the exhibition will present practical solutions and technologies for safe, sustainable and modern house construction, prioritising quality products and services across design and planning, construction materials, sanitary and plumbing, electricity and energy, furniture and fixtures, interior design and construction services.

More than 75 stalls are expected to feature architecture, structural engineering and Vastu consultancy; cement, bricks, steel, waterproofing and insulation; pipes, fittings and water treatment systems; wiring, solar systems and smart home technology; modular kitchens, doors and hardware; paints, lighting and flooring; contractors and equipment rental; and construction software, finance and insurance services.

The event will include live product demonstrations, expert presentations and interaction sessions on green buildings, smart home technology and contemporary design techniques. Daily two-hour special sessions will cover waterproofing and building treatment, solar home systems, smart house concepts, eco-friendly construction trends, termite control, modular kitchen technology, earthquake resistance, fire safety and kitchen safety practices. B2B and B2C meetings, a Vastu Shastra corner, interior mock-ups and innovation zones are also planned.
