KATHMANDU: Adhyayan School on Tuesday concluded the grand finale of Hack‑अ‑Thon 2.0, an inter‑school hackathon that brought together students from 40 schools across Nepal to present technology‑driven solutions for social challenges. The finale took place at Rastriya Naachghar in Jamal, with Adesh Khadka, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, attending as the chief guest.
Organised by Adhyayan School in collaboration with Leapfrog Technology and powered by AWS and MTX APAC, and held in partnership with Code for Nepal and Veda, the multi‑phase event saw 53 teams from both private and government schools compete. Participants spent weeks in orientation sessions, bootcamps and mentorship programmes before the top teams advanced to the final showcase.
Students presented projects addressing problems in education, health, accessibility and other areas of social impact. A panel of judges evaluated the finalists on technical merit, social relevance and feasibility, while educators, parents and industry professionals observed the demonstrations.
Adhyayan School’s team Sign Connect won the top prize of Rs 250,000. VidyasetuAI from Euro School Hattigauda was named first runner‑up, and Swacchata from Rato Bangala School finished as second runner‑up. Shivapuri Secondary School received the Government School Category Award for its project Rakta Pulse.

Individual recognition included the Best Coder Award, presented to Samriddhi Bastakoti, who received a laptop for exceptional coding performance. Adhyayan School said the awards aimed to recognise both team innovation and individual technical excellence.
Adhyayan School described Hack‑अ‑Thon 2.0 as more than a competition, calling it a platform to nurture future technology leaders by fostering creativity, collaboration and impact‑driven innovation among Nepali students. The event highlighted growing interest in student‑led tech solutions and the role of partnerships between schools, industry and civil society in building practical skills among young innovators.
