Energy Minister Shrestha directs ministry to deliver effective services to the public

KATHMANDU: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Biraj Bhakta Shrestha has directed ministry bodies to deliver services that the public can feel immediately. He said service delivery must be more effective, transparent and people-oriented.

Speaking to the ministry’s high leadership today, he stressed the need for a clear action plan, timely implementation and a responsible working style to achieve the government’s goal of increasing agricultural production through sustainable development of the energy sector, appropriate use of water resources and expansion of the irrigation system.

Pointing to the need for coordination, discipline and a result-oriented working culture in the ministry, he asked employees to carry out their responsibilities with full commitment, honesty and high morale.

Minister Shrestha underscored that all sides should move ahead to make the country self-dependent in the energy sector and expressed his commitment to enhance the ministry’s work efficiency by maintaining effective coordination between policy, planning and implementation.

He said the ministry will seek to transform challenges into opportunities in the coming days.
