Gold and silver prices rise in local market; fine gold set at Rs 290,200 per tola

KATHMANDU: Price of gold and silver rose in the local market today, with gold up by Rs 6,700 per tola (11.66 grammes) and silver by Rs 145 per tola.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of fine gold is set at Rs 290,200 per tola and the same quantity of silver at Rs 4,845 today.

On Monday, the price of fine gold per tola was Rs 283,500, and the same quantity of silver was Rs 4,700.

On Sunday, the price of gold was Rs 286,000 per tola, and the price of the same quantity of silver was Rs 4,720.

According to international media outlets, an ounce of gold is trading at US$4,560, and an ounce of silver is trading at US$80 in the international market today.
