I admire Coco Chanel because she redesigned fashion around women instead of forcing women to adapt to fashion. That philosophy resonates deeply with me.

A brand that is only chasing trends. If a brand does not have a clear identity, it becomes forgettable.
How has your vision for the brand evolved since day one?
My vision for the brand has evolved since day 1. In the beginning, OSTI started as a creative passion. But over time, the vision became much deeper. Today OSTI stands for a philosophy: YOU DON’T NEED TO CHANGE YOURSELF TO FIT FASHION; FASHION SHOULD CHANGE TO FIT YOU.
What inspired you to start a vegan fashion label?
Fashion is evolving. People are becoming more conscious about what they wear. I wanted to explore fashion products that combine design and innovation with the possible alternative of animal materials.
What is one misconception people have about vegan fashion?
Many people think vegan fashion means compromising on luxury or quality. But with the right materials and craftsmanship, it can be just as premium and long-lasting.
Functionality or aesthetics
For me, the best design happens when functionality meets aesthetics. A beautiful product should also serve a real purpose in everyday life.
What is one value your brand will never compromise on?
One value that OSTI does not compromise is quality, authenticity, craftsmanship and making women feel their best self. I never want OSTI to become a brand that simply follows trends.
One fashion piece that resonates with you
A belt. It is a small piece but it has the power to completely transform an outfit. That transformation is something I love designing around.
What is one small change people can make to shop more ethically?
Shop ethically; instead of buying many things, choose pieces that work with multiple outfits and seasons. Buy less but buy smarter.
What is the simplest way to explain vegan fashion to a new customer?
Well, the simplest way to explain vegan fashion would be: fashion powered by using new materials and new ideas to create beautiful design.
What is one thing the fashion industry needs to change immediately?
One thing the fashion industry needs to change immediately is overproduction. Fashion should move from fast consumption to thoughtful designs.
What is one mistake new fashion brands often make?
One mistake that fashion brands make is trying to appeal to everyone. Strong brands are built when you stand for something clearly.
What impact do you want your brand to have on the world?
I want OSTI to change how people think about fashion. Instead of asking, “Do I fit in this?” I want people to ask, “Does this fit me?” Fashion should empower people, not make them feel inadequate. Our pieces are designed to feel effortless, like bags and belts that instantly elevate an outfit and work with different styles, bodies and seasons.
If people feel more confident, more expressive, more themselves and more effortlessly stylish when they wear OSTI, then the brand has achieved its purpose.
