Xiaomi launches Redmi Buds 8 Active in Nepal at Rs 4,499

KATHMANDU: Xiaomi, a leading technology company, has launched the Redmi Buds 8 Active in Nepal. The lightweight true wireless earbuds available in black and white colours are priced at Rs 4,499.

The earbuds use an in-ear curve design that follows the natural contours of the ear to reduce pressure and prevent canal discomfort during long listening sessions. The lightweight build is intended to provide a secure fit and easy portability for daily use.

Battery life is rated at up to 7 hours of playback on a single charge and up to 37 hours with the charging case. A 10-minute quick charge delivers up to 2 hours of listening time, and Xiaomi cites a 23% improvement in battery life compared with previous models.

For audio performance, the Redmi Buds 8 Active include a large titanium-plated dynamic driver and a titanium-coated diaphragm to improve transient response in mid and high frequencies. Support for the AAC codec helps preserve sound detail during compression.

Call clarity is supported by dual microphones and AI-driven noise suppression algorithms that reduce environmental noise. A wind-noise detection algorithm is designed to work at wind speeds up to 6 m/s to minimise interference during outdoor calls.

The earbuds support Google Fast Pair for quick setup and offer dual-device connectivity to enable simultaneous pairing with two devices. They carry an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance, making them suitable for commuting and workouts.
