Godrej strengthens foothold in Nepal with inverter refrigerators, cashback offer

KATHMANDU: Godrej, a prominent Indian brand, is strengthening its foothold in the Nepali market by introducing a range of high-quality refrigerators focused on durability and reliability. The appliances are being distributed through CG Electronics and are engineered to address local challenges such as irregular power supply and voltage fluctuations.

The new line-up integrates inverter-compressor technology that automatically adjusts cooling based on food volume and internal temperature, which the company says saves energy and ensures long-term operational efficiency. Each unit is tested at high temperatures up to 50°C to provide reliable performance in harsh environments.

To combat frequent power outages, the refrigerators utilise 2.24-inch-thick PUF insulation, which the company says can maintain cooling for up to 24 hours during power interruptions. Additional technical features include a built-in stabiliser that manages voltage between 110 and 260 volts and the use of eco-friendly R600a refrigerant.

In response to evolving health concerns, Godrej has incorporated its patented Nano Shield Technology into these models; the company claims the feature eliminates more than 95% of germs and viruses on the surface of food items, a point it says has become a major selling feature in the post-pandemic era.

Versatility is also a core focus, with a 4-in-1 convertible mode that allows users to convert the freezer into a fridge or turn off certain parts of the unit during vacations, reducing energy consumption and extending the life of the compressor.

The company has highlighted that its reliability is backed by recognition as India’s Most Trusted Brand 2026–27, an accolade it says further solidifies consumer confidence as it expands its presence across the country.

Godrej refrigerators are currently available throughout Nepal via the CG Electronics distribution network. To celebrate the New Year 2083, the company has announced a cashback offer of up to Rs 35,300 for customers purchasing Godrej refrigerators.
