- CG offers 0% interest finance, free installation
KATHMANDU: As temperatures continue to break records across Nepal, CG brand air conditioners have become a primary choice for consumers seeking relief from intense heatwaves in the Tarai and hilly regions.
The CG Meridia series, built for the country's electrical and weather conditions, has shifted from a luxury item to a necessary protective shield against extreme heat.
The surge in demand is largely due to the brand's dual inverter technology, which the company says tackles local problems such as unstable voltage. CG models include an auto-protection mechanism to prevent damage during power fluctuations. The compressor also adjusts its speed to room temperature, cutting electricity use for middle-class families.
Environmental and health features are part of the design. The units use R-32 refrigerant gas to reduce harm to the ozone layer and have an independent dehumidification mode. That mode removes excess moisture during the monsoon and helps prevent mould and bacterial growth without over-cooling rooms.
To improve affordability, CG Electronics has launched consumer-centric finance offers. Customers can install an air conditioner with 0% interest and easy monthly instalments on presentation of a citizenship certificate. The company also provides free installation through its nationwide network.
“We do not just sell products; we also sell 40 years of trust,” said an official from CG Electronics. The official emphasised that the brand's support extends beyond the sale and is backed by more than 40 service centres and 21 CG Digital showrooms nationwide.
The Meridia series also offers an 8-in-1 convertible mode so users can adjust cooling and heating to match room occupancy. With a 10-year warranty on compressors, the company continues to promote its slogan, Experience Life with CG, and markets the range on experience, safety and energy efficiency.
