KATHMANDU: inDrive handed over a TATA Xpres-T electric cab and two Yadea VLX e-scooters to the top performers of its Platinum Driver Giveaway Campaign at a ceremony in Kathmandu on Friday.

The campaign, held from March 2 to 29, 2026, rewarded drivers who maintained Platinum status across four consecutive challenge weeks. Winners were selected on the basis of consistent performance and service quality through a series of weekly challenges and incentives.

The three grand prize recipients were Peshal Budhathoki, who received the TATA Xpres-T EV, and Samden Tamang and Saroj Khatiwada, who each won a Yadea VLX scooter.

Speaking after the handover, Peshal Budhathoki said, “I sincerely appreciate inDrive for recognising our dedication and hard work. Maintaining Platinum status is a continuous effort that requires discipline and a genuine commitment to passenger satisfaction. Receiving the TATA Xpres-T EV is a significant achievement for me, and it inspires me to push further and continue delivering my best every single day.”

Khatiwada called the win a proud moment for his family and said the campaign motivated him to raise his service standards. “It is an honour to be the grand prize winner. The campaign inspired me to perform better and maintain strong service standards. Winning the Yadea VLX is a proud moment for my family and me, and I appreciate inDrive for recognising and empowering driver partners like us,” he said.

In addition to the headline prizes, inDrive awarded staycation packages at a five-star resort to four driving partners — Bhupendra Khatri, Gyanendra Rajbhandari, Narayan Karki and Tirtha Lal Tamang — and distributed Samsung Galaxy A17 5G handsets to 16 drivers. The phone winners included Chhiring Lama, Nim Prasad Adhikari, Suresh Sherpa, Bishal Moktan, Lok Bahadur Thapa Magar, Pushpa Sawad, Sujan Rana, Pramod Pokhrel, Santosh Kumar Sah, Rajkumar Jabegu, Kiran Darlami Magar, Kaushal Rai, Yubaraj, Som Lama, Prabal Man Pradhan and Manaraj Rumba.

Sunita Jeemi Rai, Senior Driver Operations Specialist at inDrive Nepal, said the giveaway was intended to reward sustained effort and support drivers’ livelihoods. “It is truly rewarding to see how this initiative has positively impacted our drivers and supported their livelihood, and empowered them to take greater control of their earnings,” she said, adding that the company plans to continue similar programmes.

Rai also announced a fuel support initiative worth Rs 2.7 million, launched on April 15 to help offset rising operating costs. inDrive Nepal officials said the fuel support is being allocated according to driver activity and performance metrics so that those most reliant on the platform receive targeted assistance.

inDrive Nepal representatives said the Platinum Driver Giveaway and the fuel support form part of broader efforts to recognise high service standards while extending benefits to a wider group of partners through weekly rewards and targeted financial support. The event brought together winners, company officials and driver partners to celebrate performance and highlight inDrive’s ongoing measures to support its driver community.
