KATHMANDU: Smart Appliances, a unit of KL Dugar Group, has been appointed the exclusive distributor of Whirlpool home appliances in Nepal’s Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces.
The strategic partnership with Whirlpool, a globally recognised home appliance brand, is intended to expand product availability and strengthen Smart Appliances’ market presence across the three provinces. Company officials said the alliance combines Whirlpool’s legacy of innovation and quality with Smart Appliances’ distribution network and dealer relationships.
To mark the collaboration, Smart Appliances hosted a large dealer meeting titled 'Smart Appliances & Whirlpool Partner Connect 2026' on Sunday, aimed at reinforcing ties with existing dealers, onboarding new partners and outlining an ambitious roadmap for regional growth.
Company representatives said the agreement is more than a distribution deal, calling it a transformational step towards redefining the home appliance landscape in the region. They said the partnership will focus on improving product accessibility, empowering dealer partners and delivering Whirlpool’s internationally trusted product portfolio to consumers in the targeted provinces.
The move is a significant milestone for Smart Appliances as it seeks to deepen its footprint in Nepal’s home appliances and consumer electronics sector. The company said it remains committed to driving sustainable growth and ensuring consumers receive innovative, reliable and premium appliance solutions.
