KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index, which had declined continuously for the past four trading days, showed a marginal improvement today, rising 8.78 points to settle at 2,712.86.
According to NEPSE, 7,734,012 shares of 335 companies were traded in 62,025 transactions, resulting in a total turnover of Rs 3,439,068,392.77.
Sectoral gainers included Life Insurance (up 0.10%), Manufacturing and Processing (up 0.63%), Mutual Fund (up 0.44%), Banking Subindex (up 0.43%) and Others index (up 0.08%), while the sub‑indices of all other groups declined.
Among the laggards, NEPSE reported Development Bank down 0.04%, Finance down 0.12%, Hotels and Tourism down 0.05%, Microfinance down 0.21% and the Non Life Insurance group down 0.12%.
