KATHMANDU: Nepal Mediciti has become the first Nepali hospital to exhibit its services at an international medical tourism expo outside Nepal. The hospital is taking part in the 9th International Health Tourism & Services Expo Bangladesh 2026 in Dhaka from May 7 to 9.
The three-day event at the International Convention City brings together hospitals, healthcare providers, wellness centres, diagnostic institutions and medical tourism facilitators from across Asia and beyond. Participants include institutions from China, Indonesia, Malaysia, India and Sri Lanka.
Nepal Mediciti CEO Dr Amit Tomer said the expo offers a major opportunity for Nepal. “The event represents a major opportunity to showcase Nepal as an emerging destination for high-quality and affordable healthcare services in South Asia,” he said, adding that the hospital’s presence is expected to raise Nepal’s visibility in the expanding medical tourism market.
Nepal Mediciti has gained recognition among international patients for its advanced clinical services, multidisciplinary care model and patient-centred delivery. The hospital has adopted internationally recognised protocols and quality assurance systems aligned with global standards in patient safety, infection prevention, clinical governance and evidence-based treatment practices.

International patients are increasingly choosing Nepal Mediciti for its experienced specialists, improved clinical outcomes, personalised care, shorter waiting times and cost-effective treatment packages compared with many regional alternatives.
Nepal Mediciti’s participation at the Dhaka expo could open new opportunities for the country’s healthcare sector and help establish Nepal as a credible destination for international medical care and wellness tourism in the region.
