PARSA: The local administration in Parsa district has warned it will take legal action against those creating an artificial shortage of cooking gas.
Parsa's Assistant Chief District Officer Krishna Thapa said the district administration would act against anyone involved in causing a shortage of the daily essential, LP gas.
Those found guilty could face measures under the Black Marketing and Some Other Social Crime and Punishment Act, 2032, and the Consumer Protection Act, 2075.
Dealers who hoard cooking gas and cause shortages may have supplies confiscated, be heavily fined and could face imprisonment.
