KATHMANDU: Triumph Nepal, in partnership with Hansraj Hulaschand & Co, concluded its week‑long motorcycle rally, Triumph Epic Ride: Manang Edition – Trails of the Mountain Lakes. The rally saw riders complete a cross‑country route from April 25 to May 1, 2026.
More than a dozen Triumph riders took part in the seven-day expedition, which began from Itahari and Kathmandu and pushed north through Narayangarh and Besisahar into the high Himalayan valley of Manang before returning through the southern lowlands.

The route combined long highway stretches, technical off‑road sections and high‑altitude passes to deliver a comprehensive Himalayan riding experience. Riders negotiated narrow, winding hill roads and off‑road tracks through Besisahar and Chyamche, reaching Chame at about 2,650 metres before continuing into alpine terrain.
The group reached Manang and made the climb to Ice Lake (Kicho Tal) at 4,620 metres, one of the highest and most testing points of the journey. Highlights included the alpine approach from Chame to Manang and panoramic views of the Green and Blue Lakes.
Organisers outlined a varied itinerary that mixed long cruising days with short, technical stages. Participants also faced heavy, unplanned rainfall on the descent towards Meghauli, which turned parts of the route into a muddy challenge before the convoy moved back into the warmer Tarai plains.
The final days of the rally took riders through Meghauli and Janakpur, where the group visited the Janaki Temple before dispersing to their home cities. Organisers said the route was designed to test both machines and riders while showcasing Nepal’s geographic range from Himalayan valleys to southern plains.
Throughout the expedition, participants engaged with local communities and businesses along the route, contributing to regional tourism activity and drawing attention to motorcycle‑led travel as an experiential option in Nepal. Triumph Nepal said the event aimed to strengthen the country’s profile as a destination for adventure motorcycling.
Triumph Epic Ride: Trails of the Mountain Lakes marks another major outing for Triumph Nepal’s adventure programme, combining challenging terrain with curated routes and community engagement to promote long‑distance motorcycling and experiential travel across the country.
