KATHMANDU: inDrive has remained the world’s second most downloaded ride-hailing app for the fourth consecutive year, market intelligence firm Sensor Tower reported on Thursday. The app also rose to fourth place in the global travel category, up from fifth in 2024.

Sensor Tower’s report shows the inDrive app has been downloaded more than 400 million times since launch and is available in roughly 1,100 cities across 48 countries. The platform has facilitated over 8 billion transactions worldwide.

inDrive said 2025 marked an acceleration of its shift into a super app, expanding services beyond ride-hailing to include intercity transport, courier and grocery delivery, and financial services. The broader service mix is increasing user engagement by meeting more daily needs.

Technology such as artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced analytics is being used to improve personalisation and user experience. inDrive highlighted applications, including machine learning to address mapping gaps and deliver more accurate ETAs, and predictive analytics to anticipate user needs while keeping pricing decisions in the hands of drivers and riders.

Sensor Tower noted that multi-service app ecosystems are a growing driver of expansion in the ride-hailing sector, particularly in emerging markets where users engage more frequently across a wider set of services. inDrive’s growth reflects that shift towards platforms offering multiple everyday services tailored to local markets.

Arsen Tomsky, founder and CEO of inDrive, said, “Remaining the world’s second most downloaded ride-hailing app for a fourth consecutive year is a powerful validation of the value inDrive delivers to its users every day. This recognition reflects the trust people place in our platform and the continued dedication of our global team. As inDrive evolves into a super app, we remain focused on our core principles of fairness, transparency and user choice, while expanding access to services that make a meaningful difference in people’s daily lives.”

In Nepal, the milestone underlines growing interest in mobility platforms that emphasise flexibility, transparency and user choice. inDrive’s fair pricing model, which lets drivers and riders agree on fares, appeals to commuters in urban areas where affordability and trust are key factors in transport decisions.

inDrive, the global mobility and delivery platform, operates in 1,100 cities across 48 countries and offers ride-hailing alongside intercity transport, delivery, grocery and financial services. The company has set a goal of positively impacting one billion people by 2030 through its core business and impact programmes.
