KATHMANDU: Sasa Travels celebrated its first anniversary on May 15, 2026, marking a year of rapid growth since its establishment in 2025.

The event took place at a hotel in Kathmandu and was attended by airline representatives, global distribution system (GDS) managers, travel agencies and the company’s special customers.

The agency was founded by Soni Rana, who earlier won the Best Travel Entrepreneur – Woman Award at Wings Under Forty. Rana launched Sasa Travels with a commitment to introduce innovation to Nepal’s travel sector, provide distinct customer service and maintain competitive pricing.

In its first year, Sasa Travels reported notable progress in airline ticketing and outbound tour operations. The company has developed expertise in ticketing for the United States, Canada, Australia and European destinations, and has recorded success in outbound travel.

Sasa has concentrated on fixed-departure tours to Bali, Indonesia, and also operates tours to Thailand, Sri Lanka and several European destinations. The company’s first-year milestones underline its emphasis on outbound markets and fixed-departure offerings as it plans.

Programme participants at the anniversary highlighted Rana’s achievements since launching the agency and cited her rapid milestones as reasons for her recognition at Wings Under Forty. Speaking at the event, Neeru Duggal, Country Manager of Amadeus Nepal, said, “Starting a business at a young age and reaching the pinnacle of success is no small feat, and all youth should take inspiration from it.”

Rana brings more than a decade of experience in airline ticketing, tours and travel, which industry contacts said has helped Sasa establish itself quickly in competitive markets.
