SIDDHARTHANAGAR, BHAIRAHAWA: Lumbini Province Government today presented its annual policies and programmes for fiscal year 2026/27 to the Provincial Assembly. The plan prioritised agriculture, tourism, infrastructure and job creation.
Province Governor Krishna Bahadur Gharti Magar presented the government's plan in the Assembly. He was welcomed at the Provincial Assembly building by Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya, Speaker Tularam Ghartimagar, ministers and provincial assembly members.
The programme outlines measures to increase agricultural production and promote the tourism sector. It also emphasises the construction of roads and other infrastructure projects aimed at improving connectivity across the province.
Improving the quality of education and health services is included among the priorities, along with steps to make public service delivery more effective through good governance. The government has also highlighted initiatives to link youth with employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
The policies and programmes were tabled for discussion and approval by provincial lawmakers ahead of the new fiscal year.
