Xiaomi opens pre-orders in Nepal for Xiaomi 17T with Leica telephoto camera

KATHMANDU: Xiaomi has opened pre-orders in Nepal for the Xiaomi 17T, a new smartphone that pairs Leica-engineered telephoto imaging with a range of high-end hardware features. Pre-orders for the device priced at Rs 89,999 will run till June 6.

The handset is built around a Leica-engineered triple-camera system led by a 50MP main sensor with Leica UltraPure optics and Summilux lens technology. The setup also includes a 5x telephoto camera, a 12MP ultra-wide lens and a 32MP front camera designed to improve resolution and videography.

The Xiaomi 17T features a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with up to 3,500 nits peak brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi has added Vision Care, 3840Hz PWM dimming and DC dimming for eye comfort. The device weighs about 200 g and is rated IP68 for water and dust resistance.

Under the bonnet, performance is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra built on a 4 nm process, and the phone includes Xiaomi’s 3D IceLoop cooling system to manage sustained heavy use. Battery capacity is 6,500 mAh with 67W HyperCharge and 22.5W wired reverse charging.

Connectivity and audio features include dual stereo speakers, Wi‑Fi 6E, dual-SIM support and NFC. The model is offered in Violet, Blue and Black finishes, and the Nepal launch variant is available with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

Buyers who pre-order can claim offers valued at Rs 5,500, which include free REDMI Buds 6 Play and a Xiaomi Tag.
