KATHAMNDU: Leapmotor, distributed in Nepal by Shangrila Motors, has reported a sharp increase in customer bookings and vehicle deliveries following the government's recent budget announcement. The company said demand has grown significantly for its all-electric premium SUVs, the B10 and C10, resulting in a rise in new orders and faster vehicle handovers.

The company attributes the strong response to the combination of competitive pricing, advanced safety features and long driving range offered by its electric vehicles. The Leapmotor B10 is now priced at NPR 54.99 lakh, reduced by NPR 5 lakh from its previous price of NPR 60 lakh. Both the B10 and C10 have earned a Euro NCAP five-star safety rating, while the B10 offers a claimed driving range of up to 600 kilometres (CLTC) and comes equipped with a spare tyre and other practical features.

The growing demand is also seen as a positive sign ahead of the launch of the upcoming Leapmotor B03. Backed globally by Stellantis, the brand says the post-budget momentum reflects increasing consumer confidence in electric vehicles and supports its plans to expand its presence in Nepal's growing EV market.
