ICAN said the awards were based on the bank’s annual report for the financial year 2025 and that selection criteria included financial transparency, accountability, good governance and sustainability. The institute added that Nabil Bank’s report was judged excellent across these areas.

Nabil Bank previously won the 'Best Annual Report (Gold)' for its 2023 and 2024 reports. ICAN said the bank’s winning report will be nominated on behalf of Nepal for the SAFA BPA award at the South Asian level.

The bank, which has operated for four decades, serves more than 2.5 million customers through a network of 266 branches and 318 ATMs across the country. Recently, Nabil Bank has emphasised sustainable banking and launched 'nBank' for digital services.
